I believe fast implementation is an incredibly valuable skill for entrepreneurs and apparently there are a lot of fast implementers who visit this site! Gold stars all around!

Here’s two quick results:
1 – last week my web traffic was the best of any week ever (not by a huge percentage, but the uptick was due to a big push on Thurs/Friday from this contest).
2 – my site is now showing up in google search for terms it had not before, like “money tree systems” etc., likely due to all the links to that page w/ those words.

I had the exact same idea of having a competition to bring new viewers/readers so am really happy to see this post! However, I don’t actually have a ‘product’ as such! And I know how important it is to have one to make money (I’ll work on that later, thinking social media consultancy lines after following you Laura!)
But here’s the thing, my blog is a bit like a local newspaper. Its multi-author aswell, but I am starting to involve lots of businesses now and am putting out lots of press releases for the larger ones.
So my idea is to get free tickets to local attractions, events and shows and give them away to people who subscribe to my newsletter, facebook pages etc…..what do you think? And where do you think is the best place to drive the new traffic and get their email addresses? my blog? facebook? twitter? Isn’t it a bit cheeky to ask them to sign up to my newsletter to enter?
Any thoughts welcome!
