How To Get Your Name and Message In Front of Thousands of New People

Just threw together a quick video of something that happened last night – this site was hit with a burst of traffic all originating from ONE social media message on twitter that was spread over and over again.

When I say this stuff is easy this is what I mean – it doesn’t have to be difficult to gain a following. This sort of thing happens on social media all the time.

On the most basic level, the only “trick” to this is to give away FANTASTIC content that will get people talking. Oh, and no one is going to tweet about you if you aren’t on twitter!

By request, here’s a link to the tweet mentioned in the video

    Hi Laura!

Congrats on a good mini viral campaign.

You could be getting a lot more hits and followers I think, if you list the original tweet you sent to Brad at the end of the video, or even on this page.

For example, I’m now interested in seeing your original video but I don’t know the link to it. (You can kind of make it out in your video but a link would be easier and even more viral!).

Can you send me a link to @donpower, please?

    Thanks!

Thanks Laura for the interesting post – of course it all comes back to having great content to share – and – hoping that people think it’s good enough to pass around. I think that it can still be a little hit or miss – I’m sure there is a lot of great content out there that never gets circulated… cheers! John
